Privacy Policy

Nerion is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. This policy explains exactly what happens when you use the app.

What we do not collect

• No account is required to use Nerion, we never ask for your name, email, or any personal information.
• We do not collect, transmit, or store file names, folder paths, file contents, or disk usage data from your Mac.
• We do not use third-party analytics SDKs inside the app.
• We do not track your behavior, usage patterns, or in-app actions.

Landing page analytics

The Nerion website uses Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics tool. It collects only aggregate, anonymized data (page views, general geography, referrer), no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking, and no cookies are stored on your device.

AI Analysis feature

The AI Analysis feature is optional and Premium-only. How your data is handled depends on which mode you choose:

• Cloud AI (default): When you request an analysis for a specific file or folder, only the file name, path, and size are sent to the AI provider to generate a plain-English explanation. No file contents are ever transmitted. These requests are not linked to your identity.
• Local AI via Ollama: All processing happens entirely on your Mac. Nothing is sent over the network.

Purchases & payments

Payments for Premium plans are handled by Lemon Squeezy, a third-party payment processor. Nerion never sees or stores your payment details. Please refer to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy for how they handle your billing information.

Data deletion

Because we do not store any personal data, there is nothing to delete. Uninstalling Nerion from your Mac removes all local app data.

Children's privacy

Nerion is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and post the new version here. Continued use of Nerion after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
